Barry E. Davis
President and Chief Executive Officer

Barry Davis is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Crosstex Energy companies, Crosstex Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: XTXI) and Crosstex Energy L.P. (NASDAQ: XTEX).  He has more than 20 years of energy-industry experience and is a well-known business leader and results-oriented entrepreneur.

Mr. Davis was instrumental in founding Crosstex in 1996. Under his leadership, Crosstex has evolved into a significant service provider in the energy industry’s midstream business sector focused on growth. Crosstex’s throughput is approximately three billion cubic feet of natural gas a day, or approximately six percent of marketed U.S. daily production.

In 1992, Mr. Davis founded Ventana Natural Gas Company, a predecessor of Crosstex. Two years later, Comstock Natural Gas, a subsidiary of Comstock Resources, Inc., was formed through the acquisition of the assets and operations of Ventana to market the gas of its parent company and to continue to provide midstream natural gas services to independent oil and gas producers and energy consumers. Mr. Davis engineered a management-led buyout of Comstock Natural Gas, Inc. in 1996 and formed Crosstex Energy Services.

Prior to establishing Ventana, Mr. Davis served as vice president of marketing and project development for Endevco, Inc. and worked in the marketing group at Enserch Exploration. 

Mr. Davis, who is a native of Frisco, Texas, earned a bachelor of business administration degree in finance from Texas Christian University.

Joe A. Davis
Executive Vice President and General Counsel

Joe Davis joined Crosstex as Executive Vice President and General Counsel in October 2005.  He joins us from Hunton & Williams, an international law firm, where he was a partner and served on the firm’s Executive Committee.  Mr. Davis began his legal career with Worsham Forsythe, which merged with Hunton & Williams in 2001.  Mr. Davis holds a B.S. degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas, and a J.D. from Baylor Law School.

William W. Davis
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Bill Davis joined Crosstex in September 2001 bringing 25 years of finance and accounting experience. Prior to Crosstex, Mr. Davis held positions of Vice President - Financial Analysis; Senior Vice President & Chief Accounting Officer; and finally the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer of Sunshine Mining and Refining Company. Prior to Sunshine, Mr. Davis was in Public Accounting at Arthur Young & Company. Mr. Davis graduated magna cum laude from Texas A & M University with a B.B.A. in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Jack M. Lafield
Executive Vice President - Corporate Development

Jack Lafield joined Crosstex in August 2000. For 5 years prior to Crosstex, he worked as a consultant, and had been involved in all phases of acquiring, building, owning and operating of midstream assets and providing natural gas services. Mr. Lafield previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Triumph Natural Gas, a company he founded in 1989, held the President and Chief Operating Officer position at Nagasco, served as President of Producer's Gas Company. and was Senior Vice President of Lear Petroleum Corporation. He began his career as an operations engineer for Atlantic Richfield Co. He holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University, and is a graduate of the Executive Program at Stanford University.

Robert S. Purgason
Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer

Bob Purgason joined Crosstex in October 2004 to lead the Treating Division. Mr. Purgason began his career at Perry Gas Companies in Odessa working in all facet's of Perry's Treating business. He then spent 18 years with Williams Companies in various Senior Business Development & Operational roles. He was most recently Vice President of the Gulf Coast Region Midstream Business Unit. Mr. Purgason received a B.S. Chemical Degree with honors from the University of Oklahoma.
